Neutral Ramp — Balance and Tonality

Here there are two ramps 0-90% - the upper part is k only, the bottom is CMY only.

Printer with properly compensated dot gain (G7 or TVI calibrated ) should print it as almost identical with no any color cast.

Gamut homogeneity

If the reproduction process is not perfect initial smoothness will be destroyed. 

Gradients, Highlights, Shadows, Overprint

Fileds with overprints,
highlights (1, 2, 3, 4, 5%) and deep shadows (95, 96, 97, 98, 99%)
Primaries ramps as smooth gradient and  visually equal steps 

Total Ink Limit

In this image,  black  is composed with different Total Ink Limit (numbers shown percentage)
